Once you’ve given us the big tick of approval on your proposed fee schedule, we set out a plan of action specific to your needs.
Every project is different, but here are the key phases that guide the process.

In this initial phase, we get to know you and understand exactly what you need by assessing your design brief and exploring your site’s potential. Here’s how we do it:
● We review your brief and gather any necessary site details, such as surveys, sewer locations and tree assessments or planning constraints such as heritage conservation or bushfire areas.
● We assess the best approach for authority approval for the project, whether this is through council via a Development Application or through a private certifier using the Complying Development Code (CDC).
● We visit your property to evaluate the space and take measurements, while getting a feel for the opportunities your site offers.
● We produce initial sketches, a 3D model and renderings to explore how the design works in its context and how sunlight affects different spaces.
● We meet with you to review and discuss the design, making sure it aligns with your vision and the site’s possibilities.

Once this is finalised, we prepare it for approval. Here’s the lowdown:
● We meet with the council if needed to discuss the design (it’s not always possible to meet all council requirements).
● We turn the approved sketch design into detailed plans and coordinate any required consultants.
● We prepare all necessary documents for council or certifier approval, including plans, reports, and environmental statements.
● We submit the development application or complying development application and liaise with the council or certifier during the approval process.
