We believe spaces that feel right — well-proportioned and in tune with their surroundings — make a real difference in daily life.

We specialise in all types of residential architecture, including new builds, alterations, and work in bushfire and heritage conservation areas across Sydney, the South Coast, Central Coast and beyond. We design homes that keep up with family life — from energetic toddlers to teens who suddenly need their own space. Thoughtful, flexible, and built to handle the whirlwind of family living, our designs grow with you.

Castlepeake created us a home for now, and our future. I really enjoyed the whole process. Everyone was so helpful and had great ideas. It was fun. - Deirdre and John

With 30 years of experience, we’ve seen it all. From designing and building our own homes to navigating council requirements, we know what works and what doesn’t. We’re experts in designing within planning constraints while bringing your vision to life (no shortcuts here!). After decades in the industry, we’ve built a trusted network of consultants and builders, so you don’t have to stress about who’s doing what. You get the right team, a smoother process, and peace of mind that everything’s covered.

We create a welcoming, open environment where you can freely share ideas, ask questions, and feel heard. Drawing on our deep expertise as architects and interior architects, we guide each decision with both creativity and technical know-how.

Castlepeake’s collaborative approach, commitment to quality, and respect for the environment make them a standout practice. We couldn’t be happier with our home and highly recommend their work - James and Sally

We're an intentionally small team, which means we're flexible and you’ll always know exactly who you’re working with.

Whether your project is going through a Development Application (DA) with council or via a private certifier under Complying Development (CDC), we’re across the process and can guide you through it.

If good design matters to you, we’ll make a good team. Book a complimentary 30-min call here.

Meet the team.

Director B.Arch registered Architect 7130
Design Practitioner Registration (Class 2) DEP0002862

Our Director, Mark, has been with Castlepeake since 2000 (and counting). In this time, his love for architecture hasn’t wavered. For him, architecture is the perfect blend of artistic and technical elements — taking ideas and translating them into real, liveable spaces. Mark’s passion for this profession started young, ignited by his parents renovating their home. Outside of work, you’ll find him spending time outdoors with his family or sketching whatever inspires him. And one of the things Mark values most? Mentoring the next generation of architects. With decades of experience under his belt, he’s always happy to share what he’s learned. Finally, Mark will never say no to a good coffee break.

Marty has been a part of the Castlepeake team since 2007 — starting out as a student and working his way up to Director in 2019. Around here, he’s our go-to for just about anything, and is a big believer in flexible work that supports life outside of the office.

Marty describes himself as a jack of all trades, with an ability to adapt to whatever is thrown at him, enjoying getting involved in the design and construction processes. What drives him most is seeing abstract ideas take shape as real spaces that people love living in.

When he’s off the clock, you’ll likely find Marty out for a run, in the garden or spending time with his young family around the Inner West.

Kelly has been with Castlepeake since 2014, having started as a graduate and stepping into a Director role in 2019. He loves a challenge and is a natural problem solver who is known for his outside-the-box thinking. Kelly lives on the Central Coast with his wife, two kids, and their cat, Gerald (the unofficial family peacekeeper).

When he’s not at work, you’ll find him on the golf course, at the beach, or spending quality time with the family. Kelly’s love for architecture started with his dad’s influence, and his days now are what he calls “ordered chaos” — something made much easier thanks to Castlepeake’s collaborative approach to projects.

GRADUATE OF ARCHITECTURE

Arend has been a part of the Castlepeake team since 2019. He thrives on problem solving and collaborating with the many people involved in bringing a home to life. Every day is different in the architecture space and that’s just how he likes it. Arend values the supportive culture at Castlepeake and enjoys cooking at home, where he lives with his wife and crew of pets, including dogs, cats, fish, magpies and possums. Having recently moved to the Central Coast, into a house that backs onto bushland, we can now add spiders and snakes to the list of pets.

Outside of work, Arend loves sailing, bushwalking, gaming and of course cooking, though perhaps his greatest love is his (literal) fleet of robot vacuums.

GRADUATE OF ARCHITECTURE

Lily has been with Castlepeake since 2018, with the first four years spent as an intern while at university. An artist at heart, she was drawn to architecture

through her love of drawing buildings and the environment — and this creative spark still drives her today. For Lily, nothing beats exceeding client expectations (and then some) as they go through the journey of seeing their dream home come to life.

Outside of work, it’s all about staying active and mastering new sports. Previously this was bouldering and Muay Thai, which have recently been replaced by powerlifting.
